I was looking at the tt15 and was wondering what points of view were out there???

One of the guys I shoot with has a TT15 unsingle and shoots it very well.
I think the gun had some issues shortly after he bought it but they have been fixed
and he likes it quite well.
I shot a couple clays with it the other day and really liked the way it felt and liked the swing.
However, I wouldn't buy one yet because of all the quality issues when the gun first came out.
Hopefully Tristar has improved the quality of the gun but I'm not about to chance it yet.

I also have read the bashing of the TriStar. I bought my first one in 2016 and it was only the over/under. Since purchasing this one I have put an average of 1500 rounds each year with it. I wanted an unsingle since I only shoot trap. But when I contacted Tristar I was informed that the machines have all been set up for the 2019 models. So I went and bought another TriStar and went with the combo this time. I have had this now for 2 full seasons and have had zero issues. I still average around 1500 rounds through it. I just shoot a lot of practice and did do a Summer league. The gun has done well by me. But then I don’t shoot any state tournaments or register shoots. But that is due to my personal choice. In my opinion if you are looking at a nice entry level gun this works well. I see a lot of youths parents buying these due to the price and not knowing how long the kid plans to shoot. Just saying this is my opinion only.

I have one, and love it. I owned it for about 5 years now. The only problem I had, was one of my ejectors broke. I sent it to them, and had it back within one week. Great customer service. I see people with their P guns, and their springs and triggers mess up almost every shoot. I think it’s a great starter gun.

I shoot with a couple guys that have them and they are happy. They just shoot our local league for the most part. They have not had issues though. I just bought a 682x combo for the same price as a new tt-15 combo and have zero regrets. I think most people would be happy with it but don’t feel it is a good option for someone who shoot 10000 rounds a year.

I look at it like this. It’s a low end gun that gives a lot of bang for the buck. It should get someone deep enough into the sport to determine if they want to buy an expensive gun capable of firing a million rounds or not. Is it heirloom quality, no. However it’s not heirloom price either. There are many at the range I shoot at. They all seem to work. I have shot the higher end one with the drop out trigger and it does look to be better made than the lower end models.

My Buddy bought the combo for $1800. He loves it. At the very most, he could lose $1800 in resale value. How much could you lose on a $20k Perazzi if you got 90% of your money back when you sell? $2k?

The gun isn’t for me, but it’s great for him. Hard for some to justify a substantial cost when shooting league once a week for 12 weeks.

I haven’t read any bad reviews in any recent articles. Look at the date of the article when you research.
