When you mount the gun, the beads simply act as an alignment aid — not a precision sight. Whether they “snowman” or not doesn’t matter, consistent mounting matters. Don’t raise your head or bury your cheek in to chase a particular sight picture (like forcing a snowman). You won’t reproduce that exact position every time, and it won’t hold up when you’re tracking a target. That’s why proper gun fit is important.

So yeah — if you lower the comb and the beads stop snowmanning, forcing your head up to recreate the old picture will give you the same POI, it’s just improper and inconsistent.
