I have a Gracoil on my CG Impact and just installed a SPS on my CG Summit.
They both work as advertised and reduce felt recoil greatly. I do not see or feel much difference except in my wallet. The SPS was $60 less with the LOP standard. I would suggest you have it installed by a professional as you need to use specialized tools to install it correctly.

 

SPS is a great company to deal with. If you talk to them on the phone, they're very helpful and you'll get a big kick out of the New York accents.

I had a RAD system installed on a Browning XT and Like it better than the Gracoil.

 

I have a BT 99 golden clays and a XT golden clays both have GraCoils on them.
I talked to them and they said it reduces The Recoil by 1/3.
Price of the unit is $440.00 installed . From Gracoil

 

I also recommend the SPS. I have used both and can't tell the difference.

 

My advice would be to take the money AND THE STOEGER COMBO set and
trade for a soft shooting BERETTA GAS GUN.

 

I've installed two Gracoil systems and my next gun will get an SPS. Well worth the money either way. Helps you stay into your gun on a long day of shooting.

 

I've never shot a gracoil will they compress when you shoulder them and pull it in tite. I have a auto buster that does and I don't like it for that reason. I loved the factory one on my citori plus it didn't compress till I shot.

 

Ryan if it collapses when you pull it in your shoulder, that is what it is made to do. If it is too loose you can tighten the spring so it isn't that easy to collapse. Joe

 

Ya I understand that. I guess I just don't like the movement before the gun goes off is all. I've never shot a gracoil so I was just wondering how stiff they were.

 

Ryan the spring tension is 70 lbs. on the normal one the SPS has a replaceable spring that will do over 90 lbs. which can be used on a hi power rifle. Joe

I also have a couple I've bought with Soft-Touch's on them, and I don't like them as well due to the mushy feeling when mounting. There may be some adjustment to the Soft Touch, but I have not investigated further. I also have a RAD II on my K80 and it feels very similar to a GraCoil....I can't feel a noticeable difference at least.

I'll have to try the SPS version on my next one.

You won't see much difference, except in your wallet.

 

Sorry to say,I have a GraCoil unit on my Ljutic mono,and dont think its worth the effort. Thats just my opinion

If money is not an issue Soft Touch is a good way raptors go.

 

I have a gracoil on a bt99 and a XT unsingle, very happy with both. Recoil bothered me before installing the gracoil and is no longer a issue. From the sounds of things a SPS is worth the try.

Put a Gracoil on a Krieghoff that I recently sold. First time I have used one. I liked the way it reduced recoil and at the same time didn't bounce off the shoulder like some recoil reduction units do. Would definately use one again if the need arises.
