You need it marked "28" ? A "20" marked band won't work for your needs?

 

Yes, needs to be marked 28.

I checked Numerich Arms - they have 12 and 20 but not 28.

 

Have you tried Eubanks?

It would be interesting to know what percentage of Model 12's were factory made in 28 ga.

 

Wonder if the Browning / Winchester reissue would work ?

 

FYI my Browning / Miroku 28 gauge Model 12 barrel band fits on my shotgun with the following dimensions:

The barrel OD at the band is .691”. The band appears to have some adjustment as the slot the screw tightens to clamp the split band to the barrel is quite large.

The magazine tube OD at the band is .915”. No (or visually appears to have minimal adjustment there as the band encircles the magazine tube which has to rotate for the takedown feature to work, but still retain the magazine tube without being “loose”, i.e. the fit is critical.

My barrel band is unmarked as per gauge.
