I'm hoping for a bio that doesn't kill the grass in my field. I see they are "eco" ie non toxic, but do they bio-degrade?

 

I just want them to be more eco-nomical.

 

Hope they work out better than the Blackout targets we tried this year. Nothing but problems/breakage.

 

We’ve been throwing the blackouts at two local clubs this year and haven’t had any issues, I think I actually like them better then pitch

Unless they are cheaper it’s a step in the wrong direction. Going green makes as much sense as Bud Light did by having a mentally ill man pretending to be a woman moment. I hope White Flyer is smarter than that.

 

The current Green Agenda is just a scheme to merge the two tyrannical philosophies and systems of government, Socialism and Fascism.The ideologies are generally incompatible unless some other cause unites them. The premise of warming is not completely false, except Global Warming alarmists use exaggerations to scare people into submission. 1 degree Celsius per hundred year is spoken of as 2 degrees Fahrenheit per hundred years,as if that makes it warmer. Also the role of humankind versus natural causes is not even measurable, only 3% of carbon dioxide emissions. That makes the human contribution only 0.03 degrees Celsius per hundred years or 0.0003 degrees Celsius per year. Bottom line, support conservation but not radical environmental extremism. IMO your club should buy the targets the shooters like to shoot.

 

Unless I miss my guess like everything else that goes eco, green, environmentally friendly they will be more expensive, wait for it ......

 

Sounds like they will cost more than the Blackout and a little bit less than the pitch targets. Can go test them out for free at the Grand if you want.

Good question..

 

From what i was told its not a green agenda but a way to cut the cost of birds and to stop using pitch . So not really sure why you keep saying its part of the green agenda and as long as we get to shoot them who cares!!!!!!

 

its a reflex reaction to anything with "eco" in the name. Great marketing, unless the customer base has associated anything "eco" with an overpriced and lower quality product.

 

I for one hope they are successful with this new endeavor It should be a good test to let real trap shooters try them first.

Laporte makes targets with pine tar as binder as do some other euro target mfg, I wonder if WF is doing the same.

Interestingly, WF appears to have repatented the Bio targets as "Highway marker cover", the original patent having expired in 2017

The Eco seems to be new enough that the patent application hasn't been published yet.

 

I've read more than a couple reports that these new targets aren't flying as well as the old slotted targets. Here's one such report: Stockton was known to throw the best skeet targets in the country.....this year there were numerous complaints that things weren't the way they used to be....they were using this new target.....

 

We shot a White Flyer dimpled target at the PITA Grand Pacific last week. Scores were down across the board. However, I don't know if it was the same target that you all are referring to.

 

well if you read the post the new eco target isnt out yet and we have been shooting the dimple targets for a long time the pitch targets have the same dimples . wind will effect all targets ,so unless white flyer lied about not putting them out until next year they are not shooting the new target .
