Are the White Flyer targets sold at Walmart any different from those sold to and used at clubs?

Just curious why they're priced so much less. Thanks for any insights.

I run a small group of trap-shooters, 20 to 25 shooters one day per week.

I go through 60+ cases of the 90's per month.

At a Wallyworld cost of $5.94 per case, or less than $.07 per clay it is hard to beat.
A couple of local Wmart's, (20 mile radius), order them in for me so I always have a supply, I try to stay two weeks ahead of my needs.

I cannot order a pallet of 135's delivered and beat that price, would love to, the lime green targets pop against NC pine trees, not avail in the 90's.

Storage is also an issue, do not ask how "Wifey" feels about 40 to 60 cases of clays always in the garage.

Now to answer the question of how they sell them so cheap...In speaking with the Wmart managers they are a loss leader...
get customer in, buy a case of clays, buy shells, cleaning supplies, thrower, etc..

Some NC Wmart's still sell firearms. As Forest Gump would say "magin that".

Breakability ? 16 yard centered hits 7/8 at 1150 #8 is just fine, Caps, second clay in doubles and fringe hits 7&1/2 @1200+ definitely.

I would contact WF and ask, but the rumor has always been the targets you get from big box stores are made harder to survive rough handling in transit, and because they figure almost all of them are thrown off trius and hand traps so a little harder target won't really matter, however if this is the case it would not be an asset when you are shooting for score.
