Walkers Silencer Bluetooth Ear Buds Question

I just bought a pair of these for sporting clays and cannot figure out if they are functioning properly. I am hard of hearing especially without my hearing aids. With disposable plugs I have to remove the plugs between stations to have any hope of hearing any conversation and even then it is hit and miss. I bought these hoping I could leave the plugs in for the whole shoot. The app and Bluetooth work fine and they seem to help with conversation (i.e., the volume controls seem to work).

However, the shotgun blasts do not seem to be suppressed at all. I have a set of Howard Leight electronic ear muffs and the shotgun blast is actively dampened and these plugs do not do that.

Does anyone else have these and what is your experience? I emailed the company about a week ago and have not gotten a response. Since they are so expensive, I am ready to return them thinking they are faulty but would like to confirm that before I return them. Thanks in advance.

I bought one about a month ago, I do not believe my unit work properly, after one week test and reviewing some online comment, I decided to return it for a full refund. I am afraid it has design or hardware issue in general.

The issues I had were:

1) shoot sound suppression was minimum, not as good as a foam plug. Yes, I followed the instruction and find the best fitted size.

2)Bluetooth playing stops intermittently, in one or both pieces. It is annoying if it happens when you mount your gun ready to call the bird.

3) I never got their app connected to the unit

I went back to foam plugs.

I'm not sure that I would use mine to shoot trap, but I use them on the rifle range, and when hunting so that I can still hear what I'm trying to do, and listen to my surroundings, but not kill what's left of my hearing.

However, mine do seem to work fine, and muffle as they should. I would agree with he trying the different foam inserts and ear canal mold thing, that made some difference for me.

I also got the app to sync right up, and they play and control great. I would buy them again, but I will probably save my money and buy a nicer set from one of the high end companies. I think they were $600 or so, but for what your hearing is worth, I think it would be worth it.
