A few years back , I inherited my god fathers Remington Model 11 12 gauge. I never payed much attention to it because the barrel was damaged (rust and corrosion) from being kept in a damp basement. It must have gotten wet from a flood based on the amount of corrosion. With being locked in and getting COVID crazy I'm looking for a project and I'm looking to restore it. Does anyone have or know where I can get a replacement barrel?

This gun was John Browning's invention, but was sold by Savage and Remington besides the venerable A5.
Since you have a needle in the haystack to find (!) You might want to see if there is some interchange. Modern A5 barrels might be a possibility. Someone smarter than me on the subject may have an answer.
Happy hunting...........

Try Savage/Stevens A-5 clone parts if you can't find Rem. 11 parts. Numrich has some, I just ordered a Mod. 11 square backed firing pin for my Stevens 755A, they are the same.

If Numrich doesn't have the Rem. 11 or Savage/Stevens parts that will fit, try Jack First. They also had the firing pin I needed, but were a little more money. I have bought plenty of parts from both places over the years. Ahlman's in Morristown, MN is another good source.

To be specific, What I have is a Remington Model 11 D 12 gauge. Based on my research this is a 1971 vintage "Tournament" Grade. I would like to restore it to as close to original as possible but understand the needle in a haystack comment. I will look into the A5 barrels as an option

Thanks for everyone's input

The difference between the Remington M11 and Browning Auto 5 is the ejector and they (the barrels) don't interchange. There is an Auto 5 model that will, the War time (WWII) Remington production. This model is really a Model11 but with Brownings trade mark magazine cutoff.
