This one hold 8 boxes easy...Mine is on its tenth year of service and still in excellent shape. I should get 10 more years of service out of it. Plenty of pocket room for Ranger glasses case, barrel pad, ear plugs, extra shells, etc. Built great!

Boyt Plantation Series Range Bag

Consider a Plano Range Box... Like a huge tool box from the folk that make tackle and tool boxes... some have slip in boxes for chokes and other accessories...

Best I've ever found, had mine for a long time now
This will hold up to 12 boxes of shells in a pinch, and has more pockets than any other bag I've seen.

Have one of these as well. It's nice. I don't use it as a shell bag but it holds everything else nicely.

My shell bag is a discontinued Beretta bag. Would hold 8 boxes. I usually have 4 boxes + choke box and hearing muffs

Been using this for a couple of years now, while it will hold boxes of shells I usually keep those separate. I dont bother with chokes as I have no need to be changing chokes. The L side pocket is great for ear plugs, gloves & a knife while the right side meds, checkbook, bandana. The main is reserved for belt, pouches, Ranger glass case & hull bag. The opposite side of the choke space will hold some tools. The only gripe I have is the shoulder strap is always in the way of operating the other zippers. Its removable but I need it.
Great all around bag.

Before you spend a lot of money, go to Harbor Freight and look at their soft tool bags. Not saying thats the way to go...... but worth checking out.
Good idea, friend of mine uses a Loews tool bag for his shells
Why do you need to carry eight boxes of shells?
when at ATA events I usually shoot the singles and handicap, each event 100 rounds

Many things can be used for range items. The tool bag has been mentioned, a small round duffle, backpacks come in many configurations, or there is even a tool "tote" that is open and has a carry handle across the top along with a shoulder strap. CLC and other carpenter tool companies make these.

SKB makes excellent gun cases. This range bag has everything you want. It will hold 10 boxes of ammo, and has everything you need on the case. I love mine. It even has a mesh pocket for a bottle of water. Has a shoulder strap and heavy duty hand straps. It’s a lot of bag for the money.

I have a bag extremely similar to this and sold by Orvis ~20 years ago. It has held up great, and I continue to use it several times a week.

I agree with MTATom, I have two of the GPS bags, been using them for a few years now. I got the first one to use as my “shotgun stuff” bag. I liked it so much, I got a second one to use as my “rifle & pistol stuff” bag. I routinely carry 8 to 10 boxes of shells, a vest, a couple of flat choke tube cases, glasses case, and a few other odds and ends. You could easily put 16 boxes of shells in it, I wouldn’t want to pack it around, but it’s sturdy enough to carry that much.
