Kick eez or falcon strike

I recently acquired an older beretta 682. I shot a handicap event and doubles event and my shoulder was bruised from the older rock hard Morgan pad that was on it. I switched to my citori with the gracoil and shot the other 6 events for the weekend with no issue. I’d like to get the 682 to where I can shoot 3 full days with no issues. I know that’s a lot of shooting but people do it all the time. I’m thinking of just adding a nice thick kick eez pad but some of the threads on here have me thinking maybe a falcon strike is the way to go. I just don’t really love how they fit the stock. “One size fits all”(not exactly, but you get my idea). If the kick eez alone would be enough recoil reduction, it seems like a cleaner look.
I shoot 1oz 1180 8 shot for singles and doubles and 1 1-8 1200 71/2 shot for caps. I’m curious on everyone’s thoughts.

I did see that adjustable plate on their website and it seems like a pretty good solution to the fit. Also, the beretta has been well used, so maybe the real answer is, who cares! And just get whichever one will give me the highest scores.

Depending on where/how you mount your gun to shoulder pocket area, make sure that the Falconstrikes pronounced toe isn’t going to cause you an issue, digging into or rubbing your shoulder area thus being as painful as an old hard pad.

A pad that you didn’t mention as an option but that I will give you as an option is the Cervellati Microcell pad.

Relatively inexpensive to try. For the most comfort, look at the extra soft version.

I shoot a 687 with a new Kickeez pad I installed in December after acquiring the gun. My loads are nearly identical to the lighter of the two you mentioned - mine are 1 oz 1170 fps 7.5's or 8's, and I've shot 300-350 rounds in a day of sporting clays/5 stand/etc without getting bruised or even sore after all that.

Kick-Eez has several options for the pad profile. There is a regular trap, modified trap, rocker and straight pads all in different thicknesses. I'm sure the Falcon is a good pad but seems limited with options. I hold a higher gun, tried all the profiles and the rocker fits my gun mount the best. Just shot 1,100 targets over 5 days and no shoulder issues.
