I have been at a shoot and had a small issue with a gun and had Karl look at it. The stock was loose and I did not have a small socket and extension. He took the time to tighten it and said no charge. I gave him a few bucks and said thanks.

Karl overhauled one of my SGs at the NV state shoot last year. I was leaving early, and he made sure he had it finished by 0700. Very reasonable and did excellent work.

I went to his Kiosk(before he opened) at TT&S to ask him about timing the ejectors on my old Mirage, he did it while we were BS'ing then charged me the equivalent of a rack of Keystones!!

 

Karl is very talented and a great person. Very friendly. He is very service oriented and he is always very reasonable on his pricing. I am always relieved to see his trailer at a shoot just in case I have a breakdown.

I sent him my K80 in mid August to have a regular service done, and to lighten the trigger pulls a bit. I still haven't heard from him and it is starting to worry me a little bit. I love that gun and hope that he hasn't had any problems with it. I know he is a very popular gunsmith and so probably very busy, but he seems to have done your work very quickly.

I totally agree. Karl is a really good guy and a fine gunsmith. We are lucky to have him in Tucson for at least part of the year. His shop (on the west side of Tucson) is nearly an hour away but it is worth it to me. Gil Russell ^Tucson

Better call him first. He goes to Arizona when the temperature drops in both Utah and Arizona. He might not be in Utah when you go in October. He may be in Tucson. I had to mail him my K80 because I didn't want to wait for him to return to Arizona.

 

I have had Karl do work for me I agree with all the other post about him and his wife. Great guy
