I do decent at 16 yd singles, but I’ve recently started shooting handicap at the 22 yd line and my scores have been pretty low. Anyone have any pointers?

I’ll say what Phil Kiner once told me. “Knock that sh*t off. You’ll never be great at caps if you think like that.”
Dedicated practice is important. 22 yards isn’t much different than 16s. But if you aren’t consistently breaking 24-25 at singles, how can you consider scores at farther yardage with any consistent measuring stick? Shoot more. Stop thinking about it. Break em all.
Practice, you'll find the right recipe. No such thing as stepping up and being good at this, unless you are one of the few who manage to have instant success. Practice, meaning thousands of shots down range.
