Where is the best place to buy hornady powder bushings? Seems hard to locate any.

Thanks

I guess the best places to buy them are places that have them both for sale and in stock. Have you tried doing a search for them? I did and found some at Optics Planet. You might have to order from different places depending on inventory until you accumulate the selection you need. Also, don't overlook the 3D printed bushings.

Same on the conversion bushings, to use Mecs. Ebay. The red ones or the black ones fit fine. Maybe could get funky with really fine grain powder, but my use of 296/H110 so far has been acceptable. Worth a try to supplement the Hornady bushings. OT, but also useable for Texan or Herters 7/8" shot bushing size, use Mec bushings up to 1 1/16 (+-) shot drop. Useful for those odd Texan or Herters progressive presses in liew of hunting up real T or H shot bushings.

Fyi, to all, Hornady powder bushings are 7/8" in diameter. Same as Pacific, Bair, Ponsness-Warren, RCBS and Spolar, the latter which I never saw. Shot bushings are just shy of 1" diameter. All interchangeable. Hornady (and Pacific) use an "inch" measurement as a size size, #444 has a .444 inch hole for powder in the bushing. ALL others use a kind of "code" which can be somewhat useless to your task. Adapters of 7/8", either of aluminum or 3D printed let you use Mec powder bushings in Hornady, Pacific, Bair, P-W, RCBS or spolar presses. Texan uses about .805" powder bushings, Herters 3/4", Lyman I can't recall. All these use 7/8" SHOT bushings. Scroungers always carry a caliper.
