let's see if we can raise the level of discourse. Tell us why we should vote for Obama but without bringing Bush, McCain or Palin into the discussion.

Tell us the things about his character, judgment, accomplishments, experience and policies that would cause us view him in a positive light and be comfortable handing him the keys to the White House.

jbrooks,you will have to put a towel on your head to view a muslim in a positive way. i wish i could remember where i read it but one of his advisers or someone he has been associated with for several years is a iranian woman. now wouldn,t that be nice to have her cozying up to him in the white house. i can,t believe anyone would even consider voting for him unless your name is oprah.dwain

The can't. There *IS* no reason to vote for Obama and Biden. The ONLY thing they can do is bash Bush, McCain, Palin, and all other conservatives. Their party platform is built on hatred of conservatives.

Here's what "Your Democrat's" can do for you......

What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate all have in common?

Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1961;

Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn't elected one since 1954;

Cincinnati, OH (3rd)...since 1984;

Cleveland, OH (4th)...since 1989;

Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican mayor;

St. Louis, MO (6th)....since 1949;

El Paso, TX (7th) has never had a Republican mayor;

Milwaukee, WI (8th)...since 1908;

Philadelphia, PA (9th)...since 1952;

Newark, NJ(10th)...since 1907.

Einstein once said, 'The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.'

It is the disadvantaged who habitually elect Democrats --- yet are still disadvantaged.

Now, now guys, lets give them a fair chance. They are probably at work and I am sure there will several lengthy responses with well documented links to back up their assertions. I know they will do better than this guy.

Ok..Let's look at the whole picture. Aside from all you guy's who think you'll lose your gun if a Dem. gets elected. You have to be asking yourself..How did this country get like it is today? The pres. let everyone making 30K a year, take out a loan to buy a 200K house. In his words : "The economy is going to boom and everyone will be making enough to afford those houses" Well we can see what that thought process got us. (Fanny May, Freddie Mac).Your old white haired retarded bast##d is a clone of our current decision maker. Our currency value is the worst in history and all foreign companies are buying up all US business's right from under us..I can go on and on..Oh yea one more thing..McSame is for NAFTA Obama is dead set against it.....Ziggy

Tsk, tsk, tsk, Ziggy. I give you a nice positive opportunity to present anything positive about Obama and all we get is the same old "It's Bush's fault and McCain is just like him."

I guess you can't do any better than that.

Ziggy, I don't like Bush, and those who like him will say at least he prevented another terrorist attack since 9/11, whether it was his doing or not. In my opinion McCain has only voted with Bush's policies and proposals because he knew this was his last chance to board the "presidential" train. However, there have been plenty of times he broke from the republican ranks to do what he thought was right.

I am more accepting of a person who is willing not to do the popular thing if they feel it is wrong for the country. It is my personal belief, whether right or wrong, that Obama is a guy who has done and will only do what is popular or he simply won't vote on certain issues. I am more offended by politicians who hide behind abstentions and Obama has done that on several occasions. I can't think of any legislation that Obama has introduced, and I sure don't want a president who may think that he should take advice from Oprah.

On a final note, Bush wanted war in Iraq without his daughters serving in the military, McCain voted for war in Iraq knowing full well his sons would be put in harms way. AND TO EVERYONE, THAT SHOULD SPEAK VOLUMES OF THE MAN MCCAIN IS AND THE MEN THAT BUSH AND OBAMA CAN ONLY ASPIRE TO BE! SO THINK ABOUT THAT AND LET IT SOAK IN, MCCAIN DIDN'T ASK THE CITIZENS OF THIS COUNTRY FOR ANYTHING MORE THAN WHAT HE WAS RISKING, HIS OWN CHILDREN . . . HOWEVER, BUSH AND OBAMA DID.

John, don't break the Thread's rules. This is not about Bush/McCain/Palin. It is supposed to be about positive aspects of Obama. I would appreciate it if you would delete your post. You are off topic and thread jacking.

You are letting Ziggy suck you off topic.
