RickN,
I was the one who posted that picture and I knew all the names except the second from left (next to Sears). I have since found out his name after quite an extensive research effort by numerous TS members. They were in the article posted in 2019, titled

What year was this?

A good person, a true friend, a great shooter. Gene spent a lot of time at his church praying with and helping folks in need. Condolences to Betty, Garland, Jimmy, Susan and their families, also to the family of the late Geno Sears. God speed our friend,
Tom and Cathy Batt

Wow thanks for sharing the pictures and that was one hell of a squad. he was a true friend to all and i purchased 4 guns from him and he was very fair and a honest man to deal with.
Rest in piece my friend you will now be with other greats like you.

I had a business relationship for several years with Gene in the late 70's.
During one visit we got to talking about live pigeon shooting. I asked him
what gun he used for pigeons? He went to the rack and pulled down a
pretty ratty looking Browning Superposed. I asked him why with all the
guns he had at his disposal, he shot such a beat up looking gun. He
replied by asking me, "Do you have any idea how much money I've won
with this gun? I believe his reply was over $100,000. Why would I shoot
anything else? He also taught me how to bend up the barrel of a TM-1
by whacking it on a bag of shot. Gene was a great guy and outstanding
ambassador for the shooting sports.
Gene was a frequent visitor to Dallas Gun Club shoots in 60-80s. Aways shot his Browning Doubles gun. IIRC it was choked M/F. I never saw him at a Columbaire shoot but doubt that he would not have done well. He was a very good guy and fun to be around at shoots. Sad to hear of his passing.
