With all of the advanced cleaning products on the market today for gun cleaning how many on here still use Hoppes #9 to clean their guns? When I was in 8th. grade and got my first Model 870 I remember that this was the only cleaning product on the market that virtually everyone used.
DOES ANYONE STILL USE HOPPES #9 FOR CLEANING THEIR GUNS?

The new isn’t exactly like the old. While similar in aromatic sense, it’s not as intense.
I also do not believe that it’s as effective.
I have both, stuff from probably 50’s/60’s right up to today.
I readily buy the old stuff at garage sales/flea markets/second hand stores/gun shows/auctions/etc. I even buy the old gun cleaning kits at these places just to get #9.
Might have a addiction/passion for the stuff🤪
