Grew up an old farmer that shot a model 12 with a cross over back in the 60's. He had two traps on a piece of his ground. Spent alot of happy Sunday afternoons there.

Both traps were "sucker rods".

 

You could always leave the stock straight and move the rib.

I shot a round of Trap with one years ago just to see if it helped my eye dominance. I don't think I could ever get used to it. I shot with a gentleman that had a bad right eye. He made a device like what "GRNTITAN " showed. He did pretty good with it. He tried switching to left side but could not get used to it. The contraption he made worked for him.
