I harvested this buck yesterday (a year or two too soon) and sent a photo to my buddy, who claims that this buck does not have brow tines. I am pretty happy with the buck overall and disagree with him. I think the brow tines are just freakishly long and give the deer an exaggerated looking rack, which caused me to think he was bigger than he is when in the field. Anyway, what do you think, crazy brow tines, or none at all?

Fantastic buck your family friend got! This guy was taken in Ohio and yes, it would have been nice to see him in a few years. Still happy to have him now and I keep going back and forth on what I would do if I could do it over again, and I believe the outcome would be the same!

That’s quite the deer there. I was born East of the Mississippi and have lived my adult life out West. I have always counted brow tines and the ones in the picture are huge. Count them and be proud of them.
