Had a couple of barrel stickers (Perazzi, RE) and an old Army logo sticker which I'd imagine they'd remove. Rubber comb.

All accessories were left on my kitchen table as they were not in the case when it was stolen (spring kit, choke tubes, comb washers/spacers, wooden comb).

 

I really hope you had gun & trophy insurance. That is so disappointing and discussing that thief's would violate you like that.

 

Any chance you’d post a picture so we can see the wood grain to help ID it? I’m close enough to you that the chance I see it if it goes to a local shop is in the realm of possibility.

Just to confirm what I'm seeing in the picture - is the receiver nickel or blued? Also looks like the barrels are ported. A couple of items that are key. Sorry to hear about the break in.

 

Yes, the receiver is nickel, there's a bad glare in that photo.

You can't beat gun and trophy insurance guys... I think insurance for that combo, is $125.00 a year. I don't mean to be disrespectful. I hope you get your gun back. But my trap gun is covered. A lesson to us all.

I’m guilty of not always locking my guns up sometime too. After reading this, I won’t do that again.

Never give up, My KS-5 was gone for 10 yrs. Turned up at Ottsville for a rebuild and in-house stolen database caught it upon serial number entry into system.

 

Not sure if NRA continues to offer free gun insurance to all its members? It did way back when Leo had a gun stolen.

Sorry to hear, make sure the police contact the ATF and you get a NICS number. They do that to add the serial number to the lost gun database.

That way, if any dealer tries to transfer the gun, the ATF will stop the transfer.

You may want to get in touch with the Military Police and the Gun Club on Fort Benning also.

Even though the gun has been entered as stolen by your local police department, sometimes adjoining agencies have no clue about the theft.

I believe the gun club is open to the public if I recall.

Before anyone gets in an uproar. I am definitely not accusing anyone in the military of being involved in this.

The gun is a purpose built one. Not everybody is going to be looking for something like that on the open market.

 

I once bought a Ljutic that had been reported "Lost" by UPS, it had never been reported to any official agency, i found out when I sent it to Ljutic for reblue and Denny called me. Took several months to get it sorted out but I wound up with the gun.
