I don't think the Upland model comes in a 30" version but anything is possible. It's a field gun. The KO will reduce felt recoil by a percentage but the impact on the shoulder will be different for each individual. The KO will not reduce any muzzle rise.

 

I don't think the upland comes with the kick off mega. The different models of the A400 come with different kick off systems and the recoil attenuation varies greatly. the wood stock with the system in the middle is not nearly as effective as the plastic version which, I think is exclusive to the XTreme and xtreme plus and is known as the kick off mega. the xtreme plus is the 3 1/2 inch chamber. Mine feeds 7/8 oz without any hiccups. I have the wood stock model also and there is a difference in recoil attenuation. I've eaten too much recoil and have tried to reduce it as much as possible. YMMV.

 

You might be better served with a Beretta A 400 Xcel in 30" with the KO $1995.00

 

Thanks for the responses! I did find a Upland Model with Kick Off Mega with 28" barrel, but I think at this point I am going to let him shoot a Tristar 30" that we borrowed from my Uncle till he gets started and we can go from there. He shot it yesterday and said the kick wasn't to bad, we will see after 50 rounds in 1 night LOL
