Just Picked up a Baker Sterling grade single barrel trap with 32" barrel and straight English grip. The gun is tight and in really nice original condition with a Recoil pad added at some point and i have shot it and everything functions as it should.
I know these guns were Quality guns in their day and this gun has seemed to have survived 100 years of unknown amounts of usage and remains in good condition so the question i have is should i be concerned about using this gun on a fairly regular basis with modern factory ammo as my singles trap gun or should these be relegated to collector pieces?

Thank you! My particular gun is in the 488xx serial range so i am assuming around 1919 vintage. Just curious about pressures of trap loads from this era and how they would compare with modern loads.
