I picked up this 11-87 from my dealer this afternoon. The gun looks even better in person, but the gas system is gummed up to the point that I doubt it would cycle........looks like whoever owned it before me shot it until it stopped working and parked it in the safe. I ordered some new o-rings and plan on going through the entire gun this evening. Hopefully I will get a chance to try it out this weekend.

If you change the pad I’d be interested in it. Thanks

C-Class. I shot a 11-87 trap for years and treated me very well. Just broke a few trigger springs over the years so keep some in stock with O rings too. I tired to keep gun clean and every few 100 rounds pulled gun down and cleaned. gun always functioned for me. I wish I still owned but went to bt 99 and have a trap 1100 and 870 too. I have a soft spot in my heart for Remington trap guns.

I am a firm believer in having spare parts on hand. Obviously o-rings are on the list. Specifically which parts on the 11-87 should I have spares of? A couple of you mentioned trigger parts/springs. Specifically which springs are failing? (Just trying to make sure I buy the right parts)

I had one quite a few years ago and after about the 1st round it would not work properly till you cleaned it, Found that if you sprayed with breakfree and really ran it wet it would cycle maybe 2 or 3 rounds before it had to be cleaned again unlike a 1100 which would run forever. Although not a terrible gun it was just more pain in the a$$ then I wanted to deal with.
