They shoot good with the adjustable comb and rib to make it fit you. They don't come with a recoil reducer but you can purchase an aftermarket and install it.There are several people at the club that have them and shoot them very well and like them.

I put a dab of white caulk on using a toothpick but eventually realized I didn't need a mid bead because my gun fits. Focus on the target. Do gun mounts at home. Eventually, you'll know when you shoulder the gun if it's outta whack and you need to remount. I'd rather go by feel than beads anyhow. Beads will cause your head to move into a position that makes it "look" right meaning if your mount isnt consistent, your moving your head or "rear sight" all over the place trying to line up your beads but what you're really doing is changing your POI every time you fail to mount your gun properly.
That almost sounds like I know what I'm talking about!

I have my combo back at TriStar right now for a few service items, including the new tapered ribs. Once they return from the Shot Show, I plan to discuss the new 30" Double Trap and what the adjustable pad has to offer and how hard it would be to fit an unsingle to that receiver. I think the 30" barrels would help me and would like to consider a combo with the 30" barrels.

I was thinking about getting the 30" Double Trap Adjustable to use for doubles and as a backup gun. I have a rad on my Fabarm and really like it, and was hoping the Tristar had some type of recoil reduction. WadHopper, I would like to here your opinion of this model.

I have zero experience with the new 30" O/U and know of nobody that does.
My experience is with the original combo that has the non-tapered ribs and the unsingle-only with the tapered rib which I've only been shooting for a couple weeks.
I could only imagine what these guns would shoot like with a recoil reduction devise as they are soft shooters to begin with. As far as I can tell, the new O/U with the adjustable recoil pad is just that and not actually a reduction devise. I may be wrong but I'll try getting some answers when I call about my combo.

I have two TT-15s, an unsingle and O/U. I outfitted both with the C & H Mercury Stock reducer in 11oz. They balanced the guns perfectly and eat up recoil! Not bad for $100! They slide in the stock hole and you fit a doll rod in behind it so it's tight. They work great!
