Does any one have a sketch, photo or ideas for tools to adjust a Pat Trap spring setting and/or height? I've seen tools that the squad hustlers use for adjustments @ the Cedar Falls, Iowa club that enables user to make the changes without crawling down into the trap house. They appeared to be home made.

I can push up the carousel, and change the ratchet gears for height, and crank up the bands from the front of the house, without a tool, and without getting into the house. We have our teeth marked for single and doubles targets, after using a digital level. What are hoping for this tool to do for you? Maybe you should contact Cedar Falls club.

Perhaps the 5 brand new Pat Traps that we have are positioned differently than yours in relationship from the trap machine to the front of the house and the trap machine elevation from the trap house front opening. I have to at least sit on the trap house opening to get enough leverage on the carousel if it is full or mostly full of targets. And to reach the crank for the spring adjustment I have to at a minimum get on my hands and knees of the trap house door (when folded down). These houses were originally constructed for hand set traps and have had the machine bases cut down (for an earlier generation Pat Trap that have just been replaced) due to the overall height of the Pat Traps to clear the house roof so perhaps the machines actually set down lower than a trap house designed ( roof and front opening) for a Pat Trap. Thanks for the help. I'll be looking at what they use when attending the Iowa State Shoot.

So I'm guessing you use the tube with the slot to leverage up the target plate, and take the weight off the ratchet lever? And the long rod with the ring to reach the lever handle that winds the rubber bands?
