I have enjoyed mine. Good all around Gun for any shooting sport. Trigger could be better. Cole’s does a nice job on that for a price. Get loctite for the rib screws. They come loose.

I like mine, good fit, lite recoil. Agree about lock rite on rib screw. I don't know about a crappy trigger, how would you know ?

Should break like an icicle with no creeps. It has both a little play and a little creep.
I had one, sold it, regretted it and bought another one. I 2nd everything trapshootinkid25 said. My second one has a cole trigger. They are a little light and whippy so I added a graco forearm nut to mine to help weigh it down. I think I'll add some weight to the stock too. I did try to shoot skeet with it once. Its a much better trap gun than skeet gun.
I had been shooting an Xcell Sporting but wanted an upgrade. I went to Target Shotgun in NC to look at 2 guns they had in stock. One was the Beretta Multsport and the other was a Fabarm XLR5 AR. Both had an adjustable rib and comb. Both felt good to hold but I found the Fabarm to be a better built gun and that is the one I went with. No regrets and customer service is better with Fabarm over Beretta.

I have a 391 trap gun, a Multitarget with K/O, a XLR5. I started with one of the original Smurf guns. Like the Multitarget but lately been shooting my new Citori 20 gauge with an English stock. The simplicity of Beretta’s can’t be beat short of an old Springfield single shot!
I have been shooting one for over 6yrs. It has close to 90k rounds. Not many issues other than the fore end magazine cap broke off, but that was a fairly easy fix. I did replace springs in it. The gun is a bit light imo...So I added a heavier fore end cap and put a mercury weight in the stock. The trigger isn't great, but a Coles trigger job makes it acceptable. Overall if I am On the gun does what I need it to do. I can shoot it all day with no fatigue.

I also have a 391 Teknys Trap and prefer the A400 MT.

I haven't shot mine a whole lot. Had Phillips put a deflector on it for shooting doubles and a Cole's trigger.

Can you post a pic of your shell deflector. Thanks
Really nice all around gun. With the kickoff stock there is virtually no recoil and a pleasure to shoot. Used as a backup trap gun for singles and handicap. Would be great for doubles except for the throwing of empties on the shooter next to you.
Personally, I would add an adjustable butt plate and weight to the gun. I shot two Multitargets and I was surprised by the amount of recoil.

Please provide more information on the shell deflector. I am looking for a good option for my 391 and have been thinking about getting a multitarget but the lack of options for a deflector for doubles always makes me rethink getting one.
You would have to ship your gun to Phillips. (They make shipping relatively easy.) As far as I know, only a few gunsmiths can add a good deflector. Phillips can do it on most, but not all, guns.

Nu-line makes a deflector that they will ship to you, but I've read some negative comments about their deflectors.

Also, I am not sure if some registered shoots require semi-shooters to have a deflector for doubles.

I don't want to sound like a snob, but I don't like to shoot next to a shooter who is hitting me with shells.

Thanks for the information Randy. I too worry about hitting the shooter next to me and expect the same consideration. That is why I haven't gone to the multi-target yet.

I would call Phillips and ask how much a deflector is, then add about 200 bucks for shipping.

It is a very nice gun, and some have beautiful wood.

Did the multi-targets that you shot have the kickoff stock? I have had people tell me to get it with and then others say they did not like the kickoff stock.

I am not sure, but I think so. It was a while ago. Neither gun, I am sure, had added weight. My trap guns weigh at least 9.5 pounds. I like an adjustable butt plate. If you can, shoot a Multi target.

My M T throws the hulls forward. No problems shooting adjacent to someone, ie 5 stand, trap, etc.

I had been shooting an Xcel Sporting and wanted an upgrade. I looked at a Multisport and a Fabarm XLR Ar at Target Shotgun in NC. I felt the Fabarm was a better made gun and heavier. The Beretta was a nice gun but for the same money, the Fabarm seemed like the better deal for me. Happy with my choice.
