Browning = factory barrel porting..... they're loud with soft shells!

And yes I have a great pair of custom molded ear plugs..but there are a few guys I shoot games with that use what I would call "enhanced designer" loads and you will know exactly where they are standing without looking down the line!

Don't load this without having a ballistic testing at a qualified lab as I've never got around to testing it even though it was 40yrs ago when I first assembled it.

Long distance:

Federal paper

Federal 209(not 209A)

30.5gr 4756

RP12

1.125oz shot

17gr Ballistic Products buffer

To me they have less recoil than a Super Handicap.

Back to 45yds

Unique and 1 3/16oz shot.

I loaded a similar load but a sp 12 and 1 1/4 ounce buffered. It was awesome. Just wished I wasn't out of 4756!

I had some 4756 that I used for pheasant loads with 1 1/4 oz of shot. Switched to Longshot when I ran out but had some trouble with misfires.

Do any of the other shooters squawk about your "hot" loads in these games or is it pretty much understood that anything goes? How many do you typically shoot in a day? I don't think I could handle a steady diet of 1 1/4 oz loads at 1300fps.

I have not found a target yet that I could not break with a Win. AA Super Sporting Clay load!!! 1 1/8 oz. of 7 1/2's @ 1,300 fps will destroy 80 plus yard targets. No need for 1 1/4 oz. loads of larger shot!!! Nuff Said. break em all jeff

I have used those to win a few Annies. (y)

Not sure I will be able to buy any this year so I was hoping to make some reloads with similar specs.

Simply use any 12 ga. powder that will get your load to 1,250 to 1,300 fps with a Win. AA wad. and the best 7 1/2 mag. shot you can find!!! If your loading AA HS hulls. Your going to need Super-Handicap powder made from Winchester. This will fit inside the AAHS hulls. Not too many powder are this dense. You need a dense powder to fit properly inside the AA-HS hulls. You can use a much wider range of powders in the STS hull, and get a proper fit. You'll find it hard to close a AA-HS hull with a mec bushing size of #31!!! Anything bigger will not fit at all. A #30 bushing will close Properly without issues. The #31 bushing will have a small hole in the center half the time, so you maybe able to live with it???

Of course, your reloads will not be as good as a new factory load. Since you will not be able to buy shot nearly as good. There is no longer a supply of good hard shot, since Remington stopped selling bags of shot. I still have 2 bags of Winchester hard shot, I bought years ago. Winchester shot as not been available for years. I used to buy it at Bass Pro Shop before they raised all there prices on reloading supplies. I guess that was in 2004 or 05!!! Good Luck to Ya. Don't forget to break em all jeff

Remington does sell shot
This shot must have been made before Remington went under!!! Also most folks can't walk into your your large distributor and pick up STS shot!!! So reloading a shell that equals a STS or a AA is impossible today for the majority of shooters. Remington was still making shot until they folded. Winchester stopped selling reloading shot many years ago now. Vista Outdoors only started up shell production about 10-14 days ago or so. I don't think they will be selling any reloading supplies until new shell production is caught up. Which IMO should be about a year???

Since, Winchester has already announced they will not be selling primers, until shell production is caught up. I assumed Vista Outdoors will do the same with there shot and primers???
Unless you know differently??? break em all jeff

At the KCGC we have two fields set up for Pot Shoots. One has a regular Pat Trap.
I gave up trying to fix the Pat Trap Wobble and took it a Specialist. (HH) We will be able to have two fields on special days at a special price for shooting soon.
The last shoot was a great time for all. A portion of the proceeds will go to repairing Trap fields at Kern county .
When we are ready " soon " have that Jaw busting load ready.
Steve
You might find a load here!

******* 9 Wildcat.
Start with the biggest hull you can find, one of those Federal things from walmart would probably do. A heaping table spoon of longshot . Now do remember that fancy wedding you went to where they made you wear shoes and the bubbly wine had corks? Cut a piece off of one of those corks you saved and put it over the powder instead of a wad. Then go out to the side of the house you never got around to siding and tear off enough tyvek to wrap around an ounce of 4s dropped on to an ounce of 5s. Crimp with a hammer if you need to. Make sure you hit the end with the primmer so you don’t mush out the end of the shell.

JK. Of course
this was a test. If you thought at any point that this load was a good idea please, please sell your reloader and give away your components. Some of the new reloaders on this website scare the hell out of me
