‘Keep head down’ or ‘Be Smooth’ or ‘Stay in the Gun’ might be an example of what a shooter says to him/her self prior to calling for the target. I’ve used them all.

What helps you to break the next bird?

Devi--I tried those dang blinders and couldn't see the cute score keeper anymore. That wasn't any fun. I threw those darn things in my bag.

Being that i have a limited number of brain cells, thoughts are something i have to conserve in order to function most of the time. I usually just stand there with this blank look on my face, blinders affixed, oblivious to my surroundings and when the shooter to my left has fired, i quickly acquire this manly posture, shoulder the gun and shout out something unintelligible.
