I remember Fidel Castro saying that regardless of what the Cuban people wanted that he would be faithful to the revolution and therefore that Communism would persist in Cuba. Interseting that they both said the very same thing; that their will was superior to that of their people. Expected of a Communist dictator but not of an American President.
