Maybe for off-topic, but LGBT has been a hotbed political topic lately. Ya just can't make stuff like this up.
So you're both pitching for the same team and your state doesn't recognize marriage between team mates. You travel to some place like California, which does recognize diversity in all its wonderful rainbow colors. Then you come back to your state and the rainbow fades. Now it's time for a divorce. Guess what? Your state doesn't recognize the marriage and won't offer a divorce. You're now screwed because California requires you to be a resident before you can get a divorce. You can't move to California because you're tied to the end of the rainbow in whatever state you happen to really live in... while at the same time you want to go out and get married again... but you can't. Because you're not married in your state but aren't divorced either.
That alternate lifestyle thing sure is confusing.
