I find this to be pretty interesting. I know for a fact that the best shotgun discipline in the world is Trap! Are there any trap shooters in here that can whip some butt? Can a trapshooter lay claim to being the best all around shotgunner in the World? Who's gonna git a piece of those boys?

I am definately not a promoter... only the bearer of opportunity!

Realistically a AAA27AAA trapshooter wouldn't fair very well if the trapshooter wasn't experienced in all the other disciplines involved. Since trap is just a small portion of the overall competition. JMHO

By the way this was setup sporting clay shooters would be favored.

To make it real, make the shooters shoot 100 targets in each event that would be 1500 targets in total.

That would be a real test of shotgun shooting skills.

But I bet that there would be very few "Pros" who would want to play.

That would be some shoot! Might be interesting too if all the targets were shot with one gun and no tube changing. That sure would create a tizzy among the specialists choosing their favorite fowling peice!! :) Hap

Interesting. I would have thought that 250 trap targets plus the 60 ZZs and countless trap targets during the sporting event would equalize the playing field. The Skeeters would have the advantage with the sub gauges and International Skeet. The rogue sporting shooters would get their clocks cleaned on the core disciplines. Interestingly, a pigeon shooter, Chad Cooley, is one of the favorites.

It looks like George Digweed and Ben Husthwaite. Arguably two of England's best want to play.

As far as Pros playing... I personally don't believe there is such a thing as a professional shooter. I think there are brilliant shooters who happen to make a living in the shooting sports, but not from earnings they receive from winnings. I personally believe the "Pro" shooter is an illusion.

A $90,000 purse for 20 athletes is quite a purse!

Mr. Oyhe-
You better get in there! The purse and the honors would, without a doubt, belong to you! Wow! What an event to have the World's best in a single event! Oh my!

overman, the 250 skeet targets with multiple gauges was the reasoning behind that idea. Thats enough targets to skew the outcome in my opinion. I'll hafta call Scotty R. lmao. :) Hap

I would like it to be a little simpler. With only the 3 major types of shotgun games in this country. Equal number of targets in skeet, trap and sporting clays with one gun. The one gun rule might hurt trap shooters with their specialty guns.

Trapshooting may be the most fun game in the world but realistically the best overall shotgunners are considered the top sporting clays guys and possibly Wayne Mayes who has excelled at everything with a shotgun.

The flyers (and possibly zz bird) are whats going to make or break a shooter in this event. All the other targets are basically predictable to a certain extent, but theres no predicting what that pigeon's going to go once the trap is sprung. Sure is fun to see a big puff of feathers when your pour both barrels into one though :)

Ohhhhh Myyyyyyy Gawwwwwd!

King George Digweed is in and boy is he pissed! It seems that King George is a true World Champion Shotgunner and this kid from Texas has come up with the World All Around Championships and will be holding the event in Texas. It appears he will be coming over here from England to carve up a few of those Texas shooters asses and take their money home with him.

This is shaping up to be a remarkable shooting event. The winner of this event will place his mark in shotgunning history! What a great opportunity to see shotgunning's greatest duke it out!

I hope Wayne Mayes and a few other Champions show up and win this thing!

Guys, I have spoken to "King" George and he is in
definately if its after Feb 1st 2007!
Kate told me that he will do his best to be in if you hold it before then?
As a real World Champion he is a little peeved at Texans calling themseves World Champions when they are scared to shoot outside of Texas! so he intends to come down there and cut himself a slice of certain shooters asses! he thinks it will be like taking candy from a blind kid!
