Thirty plus years ago in Tennessee, I asked about when the trap shooting was, expecting the gun club officer to say something like, "Wednesday afternoon starting at 5."

Instead, he said "We don't start trap shooting until it warms up about June and we shoot until the cold weather comes in early September."

Down south, perhaps it is that you can still shoot decent scores on registered targets. Many of us come down to shoot some of the big winter shoots in FL and AZ. There are four of them going in in this area, just move up here to Ontario, Canada. Bill Malcolm

Have a retired friend who has his entire year mapped out to shoot pistol competitions. His route has him shooting every week and every weekend with just enough days to drive between shoots. The route covers nearly all the 48 contiguous states and does so in a way that he never backtracks. Very efficient.

Has someone prepared such a map and itinerary for trap shooters ?

Shoot registered targets nearly 365 days a year in pleasant weather without any backtracking ?

Well maybe I don't want to shoot registered. Cold weather doesn't stop them up north \. They have a couple of leagues I know about that have 200 shooters.

It's not just about shooting. It's also about getting out and seeing friends.

We get cabin crazy and bored up here!

Dont you guys realize how hard it is to shoot with a long sleeve T-shirt down there? Heck it must dip all the way into the 60's in December
