The standard chamberings .270 and 30-06 in the "Classic" Model 70 sell better. If your rifle's was made in 1995 it should have a a "G" series serial number prefix, if so this makes your rifle more desirable as to the quality of manufacture.

It has the 'G' prefix.

this rifle is REALLY NICE. It has great balance carrying it in the house. (never been outside)
It has super grippy cut checkering. (not pressed)
Like I mentioned up above, it's got the old pre '64 action too...

I REALLY wish this rifle had a hinged floor plate instead of the detachable magazine. Otherwise I think I’d be very interested. Glws.

I personally like the way my A-bolt is made. It's got a clip that clicks into the hinged floor plate.
BUT, my A-bolt is made in Japan... I hate that part !
