My brother has a Winchester Model 50 automatic shotgun that a friend removed the barrel with the bolt locked back which is considered a no, no and consequently the bolt is jammed back. Anyone know how to fix it?

It is not really a no no. You need to move the chamber until it is in the right spot. I think the bolt has to be back to assemble the gun. But with the chamber in the right spot you should be able to close the bolt, do NOT let the bolt slam forward it will hit the receiver to hard and possibly leave a mark or even crack.
