I've have a 101 pigeon grade trap with three extra barrels, wondering if these are kinda rare thing to find?

I owned and have seen several Diamond Grade 4 barrel skeet sets, but I haven't seen a Pigeon grade trap set. What are the length and chokes on the different barrels? I do have a 101 Pigeon grade 32" over/under 12 gauge trap gun and a 101 Pigeon grade over/under 20 gauge skeet gun. I think they are great guns!

They are 30 inch barrels, one single is fixed full, the other single barrel is fixed improved modified. And then the over and under barrel is fixed improved cylinder on bottom, and fixed full on top.

So not to diminish your set but Winchester never offered a trap combo with the Pigeon models.
They also never offered a single barrel version nor add on.
Winchester also never offered a 30” barrel for any of the 101 series that I recall.

I think whomever you purchased this from had taken two 30” o/u barrels and had the majority of the one barrel removed to make the two singles that are part of the set.

This set is rare/unique because if my assumption is correct, the majority of people would not go through the expense/trouble of completing a set such as you have.

Maybe, no way to know for sure, but it's almost certainly not a production assemblage of parts.

Winchester also never made a production 30" single barrel, so someone put some gunsmithing time into your gun, making it just as likely barrels were reserialed.

Some photos would probably help.

The unsingle was the Diamond Grade.

If you have 30" unsingle barrels, that'd be even more odd.

And like I said, the barrels very well could have been reserialed, not uncommon at all.

Found your ad.

-That isn't a Pigeon Grade, it's a chrome plated standard grade gun, and kinda poorly done at that (shiny).
-30" singles don't exist as factory. Kinda hard to tell in the photos, but it looks like all the monoblocks basically line up, at which point I'd bet it's more likely that all the barrels are 32".
-Given the mostly incorrect description so far, I'm a bit dubious that all the serial numbers match, however it's a put together set anyways as Win never offered a production package w/ two single barrels and an o/u. Could be employee done, could be renumbered, no way to know.

Price isn't horrendous if you're happy with the condition and configuration, but it's not even close to being described correctly.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I've found a video on YouTube saying they made trap over and unders that came with two single barrels. But didnt say what grades, also said they were pretty rare. So wondering if this was one of them.
