I shoot the Benelli M2. I know you didn’t ask about that one but I’d consider it too. Great gun.

Ok guys, please tell me what makes the M2 a viable option over the SBE3? I am new to these and am open to all theories and experiences. Have shot thousands of rounds in the SBE 12ga, but not 20. I have equal availability to either M2 as the SBE.

The M2 is a little less expensive, as the same action and reliability, but it’s lighter weight and where the SBE is more designed for shooting 3 inch shells and waterfowl hunting, the M2 is more of an upland gun. I shoot very few 3 inch shells so I just didn’t need a gun more designed for that.

it probably depends a lot on what your primary focus would be with it.

Well that’s fantastic. I shot a turkey with mine last year using TSS also. I was at Scheels yesterday and looked at Benellis just for Ss and Gs too.

The big thing with a Benelli is you can’t ease the bolt forward when you close it. It has to go forward hard enough to rotate that last little bit or it won’t fire.

Did you get a camo version?
