Hello:
Will a Remington 760 BDL Stock fit an 870? This stock also has a monte carlo and a roll over cheek piece. Do you know if these stocks usually are as high as a an 870 monte carlo trap stock? Also, will the standard 870 stock bolt fit this bdl stock to mount on an 870?

Steve:
At one time I believe that I saw where an 870 and the 742 Rem were interchangable, as were the 760 and the ll00Rem. I owned a 760 and 742 and put a 870 stock on the 742 for the boy when he started hunting. Hope this helps.

Steve; I have what I was told is a Monte Carlo stock from a Rem. 74/7400 on my LT-20. Fit great. Looks like a shrunken 1100 Trap with a 24" barrel. Only problem is its POI is about 8" high at 15 yards. Might get comb modified in the near future. Its a bird gun anyway.

Steve,
They will fit the small gauge frame, I have done it and seen a few other people make the change as well. As stated above, the comb is pretty high for a vent rib gun. Guys around here would use them for slug or buckshot barrels with rifle type sights on them. The Remington website has a synthetic 7600 or 7400 set for $70 if you want to try one.
