italy, spain, usa, japan, all have a few if not most.

but why the lack of high dollar high volume well built german guns to compete with a k-gun?

BUY AMERICAN !! merlyn
I tried that. Bought a Remington Peerless and a Ruger Red Label. Neither was a bad gun, but neither was really a good trap gun. I know about Kolar and Ljudic guns, but that was way too big of a jump. The Winchesters were already made in japan then. I have been shooting Beretta's since then.

Seems like this country would have a good market for a dependable 3-4000 dollar domestically produced O/U trap gun. With modern manufacturing, I am sure Remington could make trap 3200's and make money selling them at $2000.

Blaser - Isney, Germany
Bought my Blaser little over a year ago have approx. 15k down the pipe now. Only issue I have had with it was the unsingle rib the adjuster broke after 2500 rounds. Had it fixed at the Ohio state shoot no charge and they did a annual no charge put about 6k rounds since then no issues. Knock on wood haven't seen any F3's grenade yet.

Socialism eventually kills off the ability to compete - unless the socialist government subsidizes the private effort (Airbus, for example) - which then, because of income taxes to fund the private effort, kills the private effort's desire to try to form a company, which then kills off the commercial effort that is being subsidized by the government to begin with. So, nothing ever much happens - which is why we are going to elect Hillary after 8 years of the same bull hockey - which is why the Republican Party is now known as the "do nothing party", which is why the outsider Trump is our only option, which is why Hillary is going to be our next president, and nothing is ever going to change - until we completely collapse, and then it won't matter anyway - which is why I am abandoning the Republican "do nothing party" for the Libertarian party, whose creed is: "What the federal government needs to do next is leave me alone.".
Now, ask me how I REALLY feel.

Kreighoff was lucky enough to end up in the American zone after WWII, no doubt this enabled them to stay in business and sew up the German shotgun market.

Mauser used to offer a SBT, only saw one in my lifetime and seemed to be a quality made gun. Company sold off in 1995(?).

As nice as the K gun is, what if Kreighoff had not furthered production and development Remington 32, an American original design? Where would they be today?

Edited for history.

Mauser also made an O/U. I have the single, know where two O/u's are. The O/u was prone to firing pin breakage, I believe on bottom.

Mauser, along with Sauer, are in the Blaser family. Doubt they'll be stepping on Blaser's toes in the shogun market. I'm sure Mauser would benefit from some sibling knowledge should they jump back in though.
