OP was referencing a tristar. In the scope of things, expensive to OP is probably a browning, which to many is a drop in the bucket to what their shooting investments are.
If you want an expensive gun the by all means...go buy it. People do like to flex, but there's something else to be said about the guns that are over 10K. They are engineered to last hundreds of thousands of rounds, have excellent fit, finish, and above all reliability.
