My club in NJ has a problem with target storage.
I was wondering, is it possible to store pallets of targets outside and covered with heavy duty tarps?

Buy/rent a box van or box trailer to store them in. Do NOT store them under tarps. They require good air circulation around, over, and under the pallets. Or buy a Seatainer. That worked too. Set the trailer/ container where you would stack your targets. Fill it.
FYI, go to www.whiteflyer.com then click ”Resources” at the top of the page...you’ll see “Target Storage”. Click that and it will tell you how they should be stored.
we had a problem with the black out targets from white flyer. we opened up boxes and targets would be cracked in the center. pr knocked out. we had 8 pallets of this, white flyer was very unhelpful too.
Improper storage and careless loading are the biggest source of broken birds at my club. We have a nice storage building now but lazy shooters want to stack them in unused trap houses...that are unused because they leak. That leads to frozen and thawed, water damaged targets.
Steel containers often referred to as connex containers are the way to go vary in length 24' 36' 40' 48' 52' long X 96" or 102" wide Lockable doors on one end or both pallet jack to move targets is required or the very rare connex that has side doors the full length..Targets stay as fresh as the day unloaded off the delivery truck!
Deliveries go in the garage at our club. Our skeet houses do a good job of 'storing' targets a pallet at a time, but I only keep a few boxes in the Trap houses (enough to refill the machines once) as they sit lower in the soil and the boxes get damp.
