Does your local club sell shells?

I've reloaded for years so I am not in the pinch, but maybe talk to the manager and see about volume discounts.

It's sad how the current society shuns shooting sports.

Where do you live? I am in SE MI and we have two dealers in Ohio. AJ's Supplies and Dawson's Enterprise's. Both will sell you large quantities. Also venders are usually at the larger ATA shoots and they seem to have a good supply of shells.
Thanks, these look like some pretty good prices and we are about 10 miles from the Ohio line so probably worth making a trip.

I have been buying from Beebe Arms in Utah, good pricing and $9.99 shipping on orders over $500.
They are out of stock on these because I bought what they had in stock about an hour ago.

When you speak about quantities. Most blue collar workers now days think a box of shells with 25 in is is about the largest quantity they can afford.
When the cost of Biden gas went up and everybody jumped on the price rating wagon really hit the lower end economy guts. But I never see powder or shooting of any kind go down even a little.
Although I do know of one club that use their heads and not greed in mind. They seen the higher cost common when your dear sweet Biden got elected. They went out on a limb and bought targets buy couple semi loads. Powder up the Ying yang. Shot in fifty drum barrels. Targets are still 5.00 around and the clubhouse has been updated. The outside grounds been updated and a skeet field added. All because of forward thinking and left the greed behind. Oh the day will come when they will need to increase cost. But I'm sure it won't sting anybody

Guns unlimited has large quantities of ammo. The last email I got from them was 85.99/flat for winchester USA game and target and super target. I don’t see it on the webpage but email them and get on the mailing list.

Been shooting a couple times a week with my son and going though about two cases a week for the last 6 months. Been ordering though Cabela's when they had a sale or have been using gift cards bought at a discount but they don't seem to do well with larger orders. When I order 10 or more cases they break up the cases putting a bunch of individual boxes of shells into a larger box (think 28 boxes of shells tossed into a large box and shipped.. yes its a mess with shells everywhere and has happened multiple times) or they simply cancel all or part of the order. Getting two cases at a time seems to work ok but would rather not be putting weekly orders in.

Bottom line I want to order larger amounts but don't want to order by the pallet.. How is everyone else dealing with this?
I have found better deals from smaller gun shop dealers who order as needed. And come in less$ than the larger retailers. Ussualy takes about 2 week lead time.
Check around you may be surprised.

Good luck

I use ammoseek to look for the best deals. Many of the stores mentioned show up. Just be careful about shipping cost. Some try to give a low price then nail you on shipping. Just don’t place the order and keep looking

Reading the responses here I now understand why so many people are complaining about the current cost of ammo. I have always used wikiarms.com. Go to the site, scroll down the left side of the screen and select "shotgun" under the Ammo heading and then select the gauge. You will see the vendors, availability, and pricing very nicely listed
and once you find what you want simply click on the vendor's name and place your order. Takes less than 4 or 5 minutes to find what one wants at an acceptable cost.

For traditional shipping methods, the cost is usually the best per flat when you order in multiples of 2 or 3. Unless the seller has a shipping deal. Don’t forget about free shipping to the big box retailer near you. Now that internet sales mostly charge sales tax, order online and pick it up at the store can avoid shipping and hazmat (primers and powder), and that can make the higher price at big box retailers competitive.

Ernest:

Your political leanings are very obvious, but your criticisms are old. Here in Philly regular gas right now is around $3.29 and I saw a sign today that diesel is going for $3.95. I buy for a local club and I've seen a marked improvement in availability and lowering prices over the last 6 months. Target availability has never been a problem. People are funny. They complain when shells are over $8 a box, but they don't stop smoking cigarettes when the price is over $8 a pack.

BTW -- I didn't vote for Biden -- just trying to keep the criticisms current versus hugging old trees, which my wife does constantly, reminding me of things that I did wrong 3 weeks or 30 years ago -- doesn't matter.
