My TM1 release lever is at 6 o'clock. Gun is still very tight. How do you make a call as to when to replace locking block?

If your top lever is straight back, it is time to replace the locking block.

Continuing to shoot the gun for very long will break the top lever. No one knows can predict how "very long" is.

TM top levers are expensive and hard to find, locking blocks are cheap in comparison.

In my experiences, it takes about 50,000 rounds to mover the Perazzi top lever to the center or pass it. That's over $12,000 in ammo cost or $25,000 including range fees and other shooting costs.

A few hundred dollars to replace the locking block is the least expensive cost in shooting.

Thank you for the advice, it is time. Just picked it up, very good shape. Small investment in long run.
