Maybe lack of funds from disgruntled members?
What's going on with the NRA
I have to wonder what's going on at the NRA. They cancelled the annual meeting in Houston, even though Texas had no sanctions against it. Now at Whittington Center, in Raton NM, they cancelled the NRA SW Trapshooting Championships, even though New Mexico only has an indoor mask mandate. There are no rules or mandates that would require cancellation of either event. Why is the NRA doing this? It's like they are marching to the beat of Biden and Fauci. What the hell is going on?

Maybe there is a more serious problem due to the latest covid-19 virus?

You can bet there is a lot less money coming in when members found out the their top people were stealing membership money. I dropped my membership after hearing that.

Stay the course! Don't let the lefties horse sh4t rhetoric break our unity, and divide our common bond. That is exactly what they want to happen, disillusion, divide and finally conquer. Show them all your distain for their traitorous actions as you show them your Great American White #@s as your answer to their Treason and betrayal of Our Beloved Constitution, and Bill of Rights!!!.. America now and Forever if not, tens of millions of ghost from long ago battles, that stretch from the fields of Yorktown and Concorde, to the hills of San Juan, and Yellow Tavern, Shiloh, and Gettysburg, the battlefield of Cantigny, and Chateau Thierry, to the far distant shores of Guadalcanal Iwo Jima Okinawa to the beaches of Omaha beach, of Anzio, Inchon the Chosin Reservoir, Hue, Khe Sanh to the desert of Khafji and a thousand unnamed places would all rise up and say , "We died for the preservation of America, Our Union, and our Flag, how dare you betray all of our ultimate sacrifices, and squander it all away! for politics!"

Id like to add, on a personal note that I wish them to know I'd like to piss on all of the left traitorous bastards faces, after eating 3 or 4 lbs of asparagus to show them all how I truly feel about these fricken traitors to America. Please, move your liberal, fudge packin, fruit salad, chicken s$#t a$%es to Europe, and do us all a real favor.

I had an email from the NRA that said it was due to the covid situation in the Harris County, Texas area. According to this email the decision was made after consulting with medical officials, etc. If I could figure out how to post it here I would. But I'm technology challenged so this is the Readers Digest version.

I would say this - the NRA has been a thorn in the side of liberals/democrats/socialists/communists for years. Unable to beat them through public opinion or at the poles (last presidential election not withstanding), they have turned to perverted financial and legal ploys trying to distract, overwhelm, or shut-down the NRA.
Most of what you see and hear is the smoke and mirrors involved in this perversion.
I point out that the NRA and Pierre go up against the likes of Gates, Bezos, Soros on a daily basis - these guys are so wealthy they could wear a different $100,000 suit each day and they would never bat an eye. To be able to enter the room or sit at the table Pierre needs to wear similar armor - it is part of the game (like it or not).
I am fortunate enough to know several NRA board members and they are all comfortable in defending the NRA.
Those of you who cancel your memberships are NOT friends of guns or their owners. I ask this question every time, and I seldom get an answer... If you stop supporting the NRA what other gun group are you now supporting?? CCRKBA? GOA? Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership? Second Amendment Foundation? Hell - Pink Pistols?? (7 Gun Groups That Make the NRA Look Reasonable)
If none - you are part of the problem...
EDIT - I would add that if you are truly through with the NRA because of this you have played right into the lefts hands. Drink the KoolAid - hook, line, and sinker.

You need to care more about the people that are donating and less about yourself.

All the people that proudly say " I dropped my membership to the NRA because...", - all the freedom hating anti-gun people thank you. You are playing into their plans perfectly. Why don't you just find a police buy back program and sell your guns to them! Don't forget, it is the gun hating attorney general Letitia James in New York state that is publishing most of the "facts" about the NRA finances. Why are you skeptical of everything else coming from the far left, but buy into her anti gun retoric without question? Most of the problems with the NRA are caused by members.

The NRA isn't perfect. Far from it. But I am still a proud Benefactor Life member! I still contribute some money to them every year and to the Gun Owners of America. If it wasn't for organizations like these (and there are others), we wouldn't have a chance against the growing number of antigun organizations and politicians.
Next time you get steamed about Wayne's 5000 dollar suits (yes I think he should step down and let someone else take over), how about remembering the NRA grant that your local gun club got to improve the safety baffles at the range. Or the youth training and scholarships that members have been able to receive thanks to the NRA. The NRA isn't just about filing lawsuits. Look at the good it does in many shooting communities across the country.
To finish my thoughts, I will say this. If you are fed up with the NRA, please research and contribute to other pro-shooting/pro-second amendment organizations. The battle to retain what is left of our rights is far from over.

Now THERE'S a healthy atitude we can all get behind and support.
I feel sure the Covid situation is the issue. My daughter is a travel RN and just got in Houston working for Krucial. Paying her $100/hour for 72 hour weeks and $150/hour overtime. She said they originally got a request for 2,500 nurses and then want 6,500 more! Tough work but hard to make $10,000 a week elsewhere as an ER RN.
