Phil shoots a release for trap, and a pull for clays. I'm sure about the trap, because he helped me pick my release for the TM-1. I'm fairly sure that he told us that he shoots a pull for sporting, but he can confirm.

I went to the release in 2002 and shoot it for EVERYTHING competitive ie trap, skeet and sporting.

I shoot a pull when hunting and it never bothers me.

I shot 1 400 with a 5.25 pound pull and the 2nd with a 5.5pound set and a 28oz release
