Something is better than nothing. I tend to shy away from anti-seize because of the god awful mess it leaves behind. I've used Rotella straight off the dipstick of a diesel pickup in the parking lot too.
CMD grease is absolutely the best, seals the gases out of threads and lubricates
as well, choke tube will never stick in Bbl. Add to tube sides and threads and then install the tube, been using it for years
Dale, i use Anti-seize on ALLchokes tubes and Super Lube on ALL other places.Super Lube can be bought at Cabela's. Clear and is NOT Messy !!!!!!!!!!! Joe joe90t
In my opinion if you have to ask that question you aren't taking your tubes out often enough. Just take them out twice a year, clean them and oil or grease them down with what ever makes your wallet go pitter-patter. If you shoot in the rain do it immediately after as well as the gun.
