What shells are you shooting these days?

Personally been shooting what’s cheapest and easiest to get. Usually Federal Field & Target.

Always like hearing what’s working for everyone else!

There are several reason why;
They stick in some guns. This is my main reason. I shoot a Ljutic, and they all will not extract to some degree. I also had some stick in an 870, and I ripped a finger open when mortaring the gun to get the hull out.
Though these reasons are less urgent, wear on guns and reloading presses are often cited.

The only brass based hulls still made are Win AA, Remington STS, Nitro 27 and Nitro Gold Sporting, Federal HOA, and Federal papers.
Interesting. Learn something new everyday. I assume price-wise the command a bit more than steel based?
Same as you---Federal 4 packs---field & target.

I’ve been shooting a lot of my reloads lately but I’ve got a nice stash of Federal Top Guns (1 1/8 oz 1200- 7 1/2’s and 8’s) and Winchester AA’s- so I’ll probably shoot some of those up this summer. I also bought a few flats of Federal HOA’s- just tried them a few weeks ago for the first time and really liked them, so maybe I’ll start collecting some of those away for next year.

I currently shoot what I can get. Either 1oz or 1 1/8oz Challenger and I have been lucky enough to get a few cases of Top Guns over the last year or so.
The Challenger shells do their job when I do mine.
Devonian.

Of course they do but a lot of us don't reload steel hulls.

Been getting a good deal on Fiocchi and occasionally Federal top gun.
Primarily shooting reloads for all practice and 16yd competition.

I have been working reloads and leaving factory handicap when required. Even reloads have been a chore with the availability of powders.

I only buy Remington STS or Nitro for ATA Handicap as I do believe they’re better than what I can reload. I reload for ATA Singles and Trap League. I did get several thousand once fired Gun Club hulls from a friend that reload nice as well.
Any other brand I win I shoot and throw away or give away the hulls.

How are the ARMUSAs? Have been seeing them around a bit.
Our youth shooting team purchased a pallet of them. I’ve seen a couple misfires but that’s it for problems. Kids are using it in competition.

AA reloads. Brass only.
Same thing -- my problem is I don't pay for empties, finally having to throw away some I have reloaded eight times -too many dumpster divers at the club.

I stocked up before things went south so I have enough STS, Nitro 27, AA for registered shoots and top guns and super targets for practice, I'm good for a couple years, if I find more at a reasonable cost then I'll grab more, last night I shot super targets at practice.

Been shooting the Clevers when the LGS has them. Rest of the time it’s AA’s.
