My vote is for......

Elliott's Shooting Park, Raytown, MO (closed in 1986). and the Kansas City Trapshooter's Assoc. (KCTA--now in Smithville, MO).

Russ Elliott, J.A.R. Elliott, Earnest Jelly, Kevin Onka, M.L. McGuire, Myron Willoughby, C.E. Barnhart, Steve Vogli, Dr. Charles Schwab, Larry McKinley, Kevin Onka, Steve Carmichael, Rachel Hopkins, Karrol Hillebrand, Lela Hall Frank. At least 5 C.T. Champs and too many All American seats to count.

KCTA still producing top champions today!

If the gun clubs in W Ohio were as dispersed as many places, I would say there, but as Brad Dysinger once pointed out, 40 miles in all directions will produce 25 gun clubs with good shooters. From where I was born, I threw in the 40 to include Moulton. One could find a pretty good squad just in the Paulding, Delphos and Van Wert triangle.

Hannibal Missouri -- Leo Harrison -- Toughest targets anywhere (Granddad Leo was not afraid to set them "sporty"). At a zone shoot years ago, 84 was high and got a yard punch for Del Wimmer..........m

I don't where most of them came from but it sure seems like a lot of them end up at the Silver Dollar. Just look at the vet or sen vet scores from some of the larger shoots held at the Dollar. Marc

Certainly some above make a good debate but my vote goes to the old Algonquin (Troy Meadows, now defunct)) Gun Club in North Jersey (most of these shot at North Jersey G.C. too. at least 4 or 5 All Americans, National Hall of famers, A World Champion, maybe several Euro & Continental Championships (Flyers) & more combined Grand trophies than anyone care to count...Anyone remember Kay & Debbie Ohye, The Russo brothers & even some others that I've missed if any one cares to add to the list.
