What chokes do you use for Doubles?

I'm with Shooting coach, IC and mod. 1oz (light) 8's 1st shot, 1.125 of 7.5's works if you do your part.

Traditionally, guns came with IC, Mod, and Full chokes. If you shoot quick, use IC and Mod. If you are more deliberate, use Mod and Full. If you think you can buy more targets with aftermarket chokes, use LM and IM, and buy the rest of the set, so they all match, which will cost you hundreds of dollars. 😀

Tom Wilkinson choked mine at .019 and .029

Lm and improved modified in a Caesar guerini.
Used to have a 3200 that was fixed choke full full. my averages are pretty much the same

I'll shoot LM for 1st and IM or LF for the second.

Mr. Wilkinson sent my old Perazzi home with .16 on the bottom and .25 on the top. Works extremely well!!!

Most of us mortals miss targets by feet, not inches. So ya, a skeet and mod choke will break doubles targets. But so will a full/full and you'll know if it was a good hit or fringe hit. I personally haven't shot doubles much but IM and F produces 2 nice puffballs when I do what I'm supposed to do.

Also M & F. I don't have a choice. All my barrels are fixed choke.

0.020-0.031. Basically mod-LF (or IM depending who you ask)

I use open and open with 7/8 ounce 7 1/2s.

Tried a #3(IC) and a #6(IM) choke in a new to me MT6 thursday evening with 1oz 8's @1200fps...when I did my part it crushed them.

.020 and .030 just may be the perfect all-around Doubles choke combination.

My MX14 is fixed M / F so that's what I shoot, when I shot my CG I used LM / IM of course that's the gun I shot doubles with best so of course I sold it

I use M first bird 1oz #9 1200fps, F on 2nd 1oz #7.5 1200fps

I’m another mod - lt full. 7/8 oz first and 1 oz second.
