For those of you who are serious collectors of old shotgun shell boxes what is the most valuable shell box in your collection? Which vintage shotgun shell boxes are the most sought after? I have read that there were several small companies way back when that manufactured shotgun shells that are no longer in business and their shell boxes are sought after and can bring a premium.

Years ago, I had a store in town and an older gentleman came in with a whole bunch of old shooting stuff....his wife and other do-gooders suggested he get rid of that "junk".... Being a bit sharper than his detractors, he put a price on it and I paid it......I picked out s few items and stashed the rest including a BUNCH of old boxes of shotshells and boxes......a while later I was talking with MINNESOTA BOB ( the older gentleman who attended shoots vending shooter supplies and lived in his pickup).. Bob had a couple old shell boxes set out for sale...my question to him was "they worth anything???"..... Oh yes he said....a couple shoots later when I was vending alongside Minnesota Bob, I showed him the stuff I had accumulated.....he asked me what I wanted for the stuff.....I told him we were partners in this and he should remarket it and we would split......we agreed....

Maybe 6 months later, Bob came to me and said " we did pretty good" and handed me 600+ dollars ......I figured maybe 25 bucks for the lot........Minnesota Bob is an honest man......and old shooting stuff is worth MONEY.........m

Not really into the high grade 2 piece boxes and rare collectible boxes. Like Pheasantmaster I like to see what I grew up with, All Americans. RXP's, Paper Federals and WW Super Targets and Super Traps. All the different AA boxes thru the years and the odd ball stuff like AA super handicaps in #9 and 8.5 shot, Remington shells with post wads, etc...
