Just got off the phone with a friend living in the western U.S.
He said the snowfall was so bad that it was waist high and still falling.
The temperature is sub-zero and gale-like winds are blowing.
His wife has done nothing but stare through the kitchen window for days.
He said if the weather gets much worse he may have to let her in.
