I have a friend who's father was a Dr. When we were in high school he was doing a procedure with a camera and light. The light broke and the patient exploded.

Messy situation...no pun intended.

I would not believe a laser was capable of ignition.

I remember in school, we use to light a match when farting. Anyway, you get my drift. LOL.

Surgical fires are always a concern in the operating room, which is an oxygen rich environment. All you need for a disaster are flammable materials and a source of ignition (cautery, laser, etc.). Vigilance is the key to preventing any accident.
